Downes had a poor game by his standards, we looked pedestrian at times and Norwood was clearly getting frustrated which didn’t help. Love Judge but he is a number 10 not a winger! Connolly is allowing Skuse the freedom to show what a decent player he really is , agree would love to sign him. As for Waghorn one my my favourite players in a very very long time - committed and a natural goal scorer. Who would have thought that Knudsen would turn into a half decent full back, credit where credit is due to the coaches. Feel good factor is back! |

Have to say the only positive for me was Josh Emanuel who showed why he is better than Chanbers and showed Knudsen how to defend and attack. Knudsen is quite possibly the worse LB I have seen in 30 plus years of supportijg Town. Those players in general today had no passion and did not look like a team playing for the manager,Mick Terry and the team need to take a hard long look at themselves total embarrassment. |

Much improved thanks to Bru who shone today and showed us what we had missed both Skuse and Douglas looked much better when not playing together. much better second half than first and gutted we had 6 mins added on when there should have been 3/4 most.. Ref shocking again!!! Gerkin HAS to go - great shot stopper but a non commanding flapper most of the time you can see the defence don't trust him!!! |

Can't agree re Skuse he spent half the game covering Tommy Smiths ar@@. Drop him play parr at right back and two proper wingers, j tabbs work rate is enormous but he is not a winger and his corners were diabolical... Thought Chaplow was ok so why change him for Varney who gives away free kicks or falls over.... Woods looked bright |

Perhaps the Skuse knockers will realise today what a key role he plays we fell apart when he went off, Bru was diabolical and Ambrose showed a couple of touches but clearly not match fit by a long way!
Great performance, most of the team played well and tactically MM got it spot on!y glass has just refilled itself :-) |

Berra and Skuse for me are such good players that go about their job quietly yet effectively. Skuse is underrated in my opinion when he went off the back four looked exposed, even more so when Hyam went off. Mings has much to learn but in such a key position can we really leave ourselves as exposed as we did with him at times today? Tabb was great, worked so hard and so much better than last season, however with two defensive midfielders I would rather see our attack down the wings (Stewart when fit?). Sorry to say not impressed at all with Bayner or Bru and still feel we are a couple of players short.. To finish on a positive I think Gerkin made their keeper look very poor!! |

Think Hunts class showed in the few mins he was on - his crossing, eye for goal and pass picking are exactly what we miss on the wing... Can't blame skuse and Tunicliffe today they had no support from the wide men who were awful. Hunt on the left in front of cressie would add real threat and Taylor on the right... |

Ok haven't posted in ages but wanted to give my view of the players....
Gherkin - not a bad keeper but not confident at crosses. Good distribution and vocal, could be far worse, look at Brightons x Man U keeper thought he was shocking!
Chambers - not a right back but gives his all and keeps a tight ship, great captain
Bera - very classy CB and a whole hearted player, good game
smith - great as ever in air, can't fault him
Cresswell - just wish he was better at set pieces! Grows with every game, a great signing!!
Anderson - clearly struggles with the tucked in role he is being asked to play
Tuniclife - classy but faded second half, hope we can keep past January
Hyam - controversial I know but I just don't think he is quite good enough
Skuse - with Mcgoldrick stood out first half! A great centre mid player whose tackles are so spot on... Our defence starts with him
Murphy - did the dirty stuff well today, not a skillful footballer like Mcgoldrick but does add something
Nouble - better today
Edwards, best performance by him all season, not stand out but he looks to be sharp once more, last home game he was truely woeful and I feared his career over
Wordsworth I would love to see start with skuse
Great game, so good football and onwards and upwards |
