Nope. Same again for 2-0. Standing off and Saints playing triangles around them. We had a 45 minute brain fart and atrocious refereeing against them. Worst defeat of the season imo. |

No pressure on the ball. Saints walked that in for 1-0 unchallenged. |

That's down to instructions from above but I agree, it's pathetic. I hate what they've done to offside. Think it was Cloughie but I'm open to correction who asserted that if you're on the pitch, then you're influencing the game. If you’re not influencing it, wtf are you doing? Consider that statement in the light of debating whether Szmodics was offside for the disallowed Blackburn goal a couple of weeks back. He was stood two yards infront of Hladky in the 6 yard box and the ball almost hit him yet there was debate about whether he was offside or not! |

I can't stand it when they don’t indicate who has got a throw in and then, when the referee makes a decision, point their flag in agreement. Half the time the lino actually has a far better position to make a decision than the referee too! There, it's off my chest! |
| Forum Thread | If available, does Wes come straight back in? at 10:32 14 Apr 2024
I think he has to. 60 minutes then replace. He has been a massive miss and considering Chaplin is currently not firing on all cylinders, it would give us a bit more chance to use Hutchinson centrally maybe. Hirst has been out for so much longer I can only see him coming off the bench if he is available. |

You're right Joe. Just win. Any performance as long as it's a win. If Moore had buried his header, we would have been lauding a professional display. Fine margins. Just wish, when a team is getting plenty behind the ball ( like Watford), we would movevthe ball quicker. In this respect, Burns is a real miss as he is an outlet to increase our tempo. In the 2nd half last night, over passing at times just allowed them to get back and retain shape over and over. As at Norwich, Hutchinson had lots of the ball but hung on too long and either a cross or shot was repeatedly snuffed out. |

Moore hasn't been great since the international break, tthat's true but the service has been poor. The one really decent cross last night and he powered in. Of course, he should have scored. Hutchinson delays crossing far too long for Moore to be effective and Leif's delivery has been off point these last two games. |

Hutchinson is being asked to do way too much. Disappointed in Taylor tonight. Just didn’t grasp the chance. Wanted him to be driving us forward but it never happened. Since the Wales International, Moore has looked miles off it. His contribution has been very limited. |

Given all day outside the box but probably rarely as a pen. Stupid I know as a foul is a foul but that's the reality of it. |

No booking for Morsy. That's all. |

I think he has been rather poor since his starring show against Wednesday. He has not delivered despite having lots of the ball. We are really missing Burns. |

It was at Leeds. Very big moment and a big miss |

It's embarrassing in the extreme and a worry for ITFC. with Brighton looking like the model of sustainability through player trading, you have to ask how long can that go on? Two or three poor transfer windows and their model will blow up. Brentford, imho, will go down in the next three seasons and their model will be in jeopardy. Football, as my old fella used to say, will go up its own backside. He was clearly 30 years ahead of his time. |

Ok, I'm not Phil but I think that's possible. He hasn't had the same zip. However, by his own admission after Sheff Weds he said his body was tired which it may well be but it's unusual for a player (even an inexperienced one) to publicly admit it. |
