Grant ward
at 17:40 21 Apr 2018

This guy sums up MM era. He showed potential on his 45 minute debut and has done nothing since. He was rejected by Tottenham and I can see why. He brings nothing to the team, there’s no excitement when he’s on the ball yet he gets in the first team game after game. How do these players ever get scouted in the first place??!!! Problem is, we don’t have money to buy anyone better. Our youngsters don’t impress me such as Nydam and downes and with hyam always injured our midfield is pants. I jus hope whoever comes in literally sacks off all these useless players. Whether it was a yellow or red, I’m jus happy that ward won’t be playing for the rest of the season

ITFC all over
at 14:40 18 Feb 2018

Trust us to score a last minute winner and draw 🤦🏼‍♂️. You can always see it coming, we panic whenever we score. Knudsen should’ve either took the ball in the corner or had a shot as he can’t cross for s#*t. We are a boring mid table to above relegation team. We literally wait for these 2 games a year. Never have a cup run (don’t know why as that’s how you can bring more money in???) seasons usually over by the fa cup 3rd round anyway. Although his decision making is awful at times (spence on instead of Celina), MM has done ok with no money. Every team above us, including a few below have spent 10s of millions on players. What I want to know is why we spend so much on wages. if we go down, we won’t be able to pay these wages and can get rid of a few so I won’t be too bothered if we do go down. Thanks for ur hard work MM but we need a change now. This will bring a few more people back to Portman road, which equals a better atmosphere which equates to harder working players, which equals better results which equals promotions which equals European nights, sorry got carried away (this was my feelings when chambo scored), I’ve come back done to earth now. I wonder if the players read these comments
at 17:36 10 Feb 2018

I decided after the Fulham game not to bother travelling the 300 mile round trip to Portman road. I just felt so sorry for the fans that went today and sat in a half empty stadium in the freezing cold, although, from what I’ve heard, that sounded like the highlights of the day. I did feel that burton would frustrate us today. Although they’re bottom, they, at times, play some decent football however, clearly we should be beating teams Like this and getting some much needed confidence going into derby day. I would love to say that we were saving ourselves but we’re not even a big game team anyway. We’re the most mid table u can get. No ambition, no money invested, no decent style of play, don’t win 2 games in row EVER!!!! 16 years!!! It’s so boring. I genuinely don’t care if we get relegated anymore, hopefully it would mean we could start again and get rid of the dross. I think MM should leave at the end of his contract, he’s done his best with sod all money but we need a change now. I was gutted to see that he may be staying on, can’t take anymore boring football.fair play to the fans venting their frustration, don’t listen to anyone who tells you to “get behind the team at all costs”. If u wanna pay the money and give up ur time and be treated to that sort of game u watched today, U have the right to BOO the crap out of them. That’s the only way they’ll know how u feel as they won’t be man enough to read these comments.

No midfield
at 16:00 1 Nov 2017

Since the days of Tommy miller we’ve had no goal scoring threat from midfield, maybe Bullard and Keith Andrews at best. Tom Lawrence was a left winger and probably the best I’ve seen at the club for some time. Skuse is a poor “ball winner” and the rest are kids. Downes isn’t good enough yet from why I’ve seen, nydam looks terrified in possession of the ball and the rest seem to be either forwards or defenders. None of the midfield ever seem to get back and defend, costing us goal after goal. Even though it seems to be our game at the moment, we can’t defend a long ball. Our defence are the most injury prone ever and we rely on smith coming back each season. Is he really that good?? I’m not so sure. We need strong, hard working midfielders with chambers style passion (just better technically). 442 and nothing else in this tactically poor league for me.

We made forest look good
at 14:16 7 May 2017

Forest are an awful team. How on earth can we possibly lose 3-0 to them. We dominated first half, but once again, we've got no one to put the ball away. Massive cock up selling Murphy, but now Evans, u have a whole summer to save up and spend. If u want to sell Moore, sears, ward, skuse and Samuel, il be ok with that. Please stay away from injury prone players aswell. Worries about losing Berra but Webster should fill that gap, just need a chambers replacement. Shocking season, shocking prices to watch that crap aswell. Jus glad I didn't go to the last 6 games, saved loads 😁👍🏻

Thanks for nothing
at 10:38 8 Mar 2017

I've been going to ipswich games for 15 years now but after last night, I can't be f****d. Living in Birmingham, I have a lovely 380 mile round trip, gotta spend £40+ on diesel and a ridiculous £27.50+ on a ticket. Then to make it worse, I have to watch a team where the owner who has more money in his wallet right now than I have in a months wages, doesn't give a s***. I've always felt that we were lucky to have McCarthy as manager but with no money, it's impossible for him to do anything worth while. however, the least he could do is play people in their best position. Lawrence is great (as a left midfielder, mcgolderick is great (just behind the striker). It was clear last night, that wolves were rubbish and there for the taking. Instead I watched us hoof then defend. I watched the game with my wolves fan friend (who didn't want to pay the ridiculous £37 away end ticket). How can we possibly justify demanding that much money from them, and us on a cold Tuesday night. No way was there anywhere close to 15,000 fans there last night, 11000 max. I had at least 10 near misses on the A14 on the way there and back and just kept thinking, why bother??? The players yesterday couldn't give a S***. They might turn round and say they do but honestly, do they really? They should be made to take the journey I had yesterday, then watch that dismal game. It's not just that game though, we've been awful for years. Owner needs to go, most players need to start playing for the fans or go, McCarthy's time is nearing an end, but I'm sure ticket prices will go up even though we won't.

Really impressed with lincolns management
at 12:44 18 Jan 2017

I think I saw Micks replacement yesterday. You could see before the game how up for the game their players were. They didn't look worried or nervous about playing us (don't blame them), they looked confident and that's something our players don't feel. It's time for a new manager to install a bit of confidence in the team. I think our players are frustrated and although I do think they want to play for Mick, mick himself can't surely believe he is the man to pull us out of this slump and that reflects on the team. Ward only played well when we're winning, there's better players in league 2 than Skuse and Douglas and our defence is awful. Continued.... our strikers (tumbleweed). Our best player isn't ours but il end on a positive, barts the best goalkeeper in the league. Time for change, Evans - invest or sell up!!!!

No positives for an awful team
at 21:45 7 Jan 2017

I really dont know how anyone can stick up for that load of rubbish. I keep seeing people write about how certain players need picking instead of other. Our team unfortunately, is crap. Our best player by far is Bart and that's cuz he gets the most match practice. Dozell is "ok" at best, none of our strikers will ever play premier league again and our defence is as good as the one 4 years ago. You watch, chambers will go to wolves and be half decent, Delaney was awful when he played for us and look at him now. We need money from a chairman who has aspirations to win something and without that, we've got no chance. Mm has had his day, can't believe he's lasted this long this season. We should've beaten Lincoln with our youth team ffs. No excuses, awful!!!!
