Terrific gutsy performance today against a spoiling team that has now mostly given up playing football for buying fouls with West End performances and a fairly useless ref. Interested to hear all the experts on here re Luke Wolfenden. Clearly our brilliant manager doesn't what he's talking about. IMHO one of the best young central defenders in the Championship. If we ever put him up for sale (which would be wrong) we might get a surprise. |
| News Comment | Town Targeting Wimbledon Striker Al-Hamadi at 15:02:28
Forgetting my flippant comment above that's a hell of a lot of goals in not many games at a very young age. If he's fast and strong he must be worth a punt failing more obvious targets. |

Honest assessment from a proper manager and a decent player. Makes more sense than a lot of them post game. Except the blatant foul at 90+5 wasn't just head, it was an upper body hit too - catapulted Williams at warp speed into the ball. |
| News Comment | Ipswich Town 3-1 Millwall - Match Report at 12:19:53
Great to be at PR last night even if the Alf Ramsey end was a bit hazy from Block Q. Couldn't miss the brilliant build up and emphatic finishing for all of our goals though. And in that weather, game on Sky, we only dropped 2000. And what joy it was to be on the London train with Millwall supporters as they sang their jolly little ditties. Or not. |
| News Comment | Pearson: Ipswich Are Having a Fabulous Start to the Season at 20:27:40
I thought 'the momentum theory" was starting to lose credibility when it's clear there are few weak links in our squad if any. And since so few clubs have actually done back to back promotions it hardly counts as a theory. In fact it usually means "false dawn". You win three or four and take a dive which is why some managers were saying it after three games let alone eleven. Whatever, he's a grizzly old campaigner and probably a decent man too. |
| News Comment | Rotherham: No Concerns About Playing Surface at 15:45:29
I know someone will say "Leicester, Snow" from years back but bad weather has rarely been a friend recently - Oxford - did Walton even see their winning goal? Cheltenham - scored with the assistance of a gust. Huddersfield - very wet - hoofball. I am in two minds about wanting a postponement. Disappointment for our brilliant away supporters, fixture congestion etc and anyway we usually find a way to win. |
| News Comment | Town Draw Fulham at Home in Carabao Cup at 13:41:04
Boring old f**rt story coming up. I went to the first Fulham game in '73 (in London doing my first job) got off the bus in Hammersmith Road to find hordes leaving Craven Cottage. A river fog had come down and the game had been called off. As it happened the game was literally played the next night. I never made it - came down with Chicken Pox overnight but after a bit of tlc in Suffolk I recovered in time to see us win at PR. |

What a load of precious lightweights you all are. You expect everything to be perfect inside two years, say "boring" and blame Ashton. There'll be a lot of buyers remorse from clubs who panicked - look at all the chaos out there. It will take time. |
| News Comment | McKenna: Scarlett Always Among Highest-Regarded Players at Tottenham at 18:07:04
Don't know what the fuss is about loan players. We have transformed from a club ridiculously dependent on loan players to one that frankly isn't and a manager who has built a highly useful team of our own players. Some people will take any excuse to moan. And last year it was the January transfer window that really kicked us on. Up the Town! |
| News Comment | Ipswich Town 2-0 Stoke City - Match Report at 21:16:35
Terrific performance. Shout out to Harness who has been out of things but looks sharper than before - won balls and used his pace well when he came on. Chappers hasn't got his shooting boots yet but he's a streak player and when he does watch out. He looked knackered before he went off because of the effort he'd put in and made two completely uncharacteristic mistakes before he was subbed. So much to admire today- great closing, passing and grit. We have sent out a message - we are dangerous. Town I love you! |
