Oh for like a Marshall type sttricker?
at 04:29 5 Apr 2022

A Marshall type striker for town would be a boost, fancy Dan passing before a boot, to a striker that can lay off, to an attacking midfielder to create or score, we have seen this before!

25,500 for a game with no ticket promotion
at 05:13 13 Mar 2022

There is something really bubbling here at Ipswich Town, a young Manager, ex player, and from the elite of the Manchester United coaching staff. A through back to Ramsey for us oldies, Robson, and all that he achieved, McKenna is our new man here to make us achieve.

Barrow at home
at 02:02 9 Nov 2021

A good draw for us at home against Barrow, and a chance to progress, but we need to show much more desire to do well in this competition. To even be a part of this game we need to beat Oldham in the replay. To our current Town players, please respect this competition, because as former winners, in the distant past, it means so much to us supporters...we were the 'underdogs' in those days, as you will be if you meet loftier opposition in future rounds that are not yet sustained.

How can a Town sub not be ready in kit to play?
at 05:22 29 Aug 2021

The substitution of Donacien for Burns cost us today. That added on 6 minutes of play. Why is a sub not knitted out ready in full kit?? even at amateur levels it would have been the norm. Donacien is a good player, and not given a fair rub of the green, our keeper and centre midfield were players lacking to give us a first win of the season.

Butcher and Dyer as Management Team?
at 08:19 18 Jan 2021

Both top players at Ipswich, both England Internationals, one with knowledge in Management, the other getting the best out of our youth teams? Both local to Suffolk, know the Ipswich Town way of playing, which I am afraid our current Manager does not.
Time for Marcus Evans to give a long hard think about this, unless he is grinding us down to the ground, for a sell off?

Butcher and Dyer?

Two Ipswich Town ex players, probably hurting as us Supporters, both International performers, perhaps they should be at the helm?

They had a style of play that was different for one season, soon got sorted out, a bit like Ipswich Town after finishing 6th, all those wonderful years ago.

Could CoVid save us or make us?
at 05:06 27 Dec 2020

Such dire times for us all, could it break us or make us as a football club?
Some players coming back from long term injuries, others going down with this damn virus, very strange times.
Let's hope that we have the right players available for selection, a Manager prepared to forget his playing past, to give something to the ITFC future.

Ipswich needs a new Manager
at 03:45 11 Dec 2020

We need a new manager, not one lost in his own achievements, as a good player of the past. Someone that has good contacts within the game, that can get us that special player that makes us tick, like Big Mick. Who do you think?

Finally, something really worth discussing
at 03:59 15 Oct 2020

The pyramid was originally designed to create players for the national side. Money talks, TV takes over, Moneymen take over Football Clubs, (International Owners), have no care or knowledgement of the pyramid. They are prepared to pay £millions into Premiership Clubs to buy success. No Knowledge of our pyramid. £11million to each of the relegated, underachievers of their league, and now finally pay £50 million split between all League 1 and 2 Clubs.

Downes is fu c ed (n/t)
at 05:18 4 Oct 2020

Downes has had his head turned, has now got injured, but now should take stock.
So many of our Academy players are now a part of our first team squad.
Brian Kluug and his backroom team have been Immense in bringing quality young players to our squad, and now is their time to give him a play back.

2 weeks until the next proper game
at 04:56 4 Oct 2020

Two weeks before our next League game. Time to get Woolfenden in at attacking/defending fullback roll for Ward, the Arsenal lad to complement Dozzell in the centre of midfield to allow Nolan etc a free role to score?

Toto, Wilson.
The former was impetuous in a tackle last season, the latter couldn't pass a ball. Both have upped their game. Now for the rest of the team, to up their game to gain promotion.

Holy worries me (n/t)
at 04:24 4 Oct 2020

Holy had some really bad moments of decision making today. Not shot stopping, but when to come for a cross. At his height, he should dominate the box and take pressure from his defence. Time for our goalkeeping coaches to look at this to earn their corn?

New Ipswich style
at 00:48 26 Sep 2020

The main thing that I have noticed from our first few games is, a new Ipswich style of play, and one that I can identify with. Each player knowing their role, and caring about each other, ie: passing and moving to receive when attacking, or tackling and covering when defending...basic stuff, that we haven't done for a few years. Dozzell is starting to make his mark as a playmaker, Nolan now starting to show his worth box to box, Bishop, although quiet in the last game now keeping fit, and Lankester and Downes coming off the bench to great effect. We must try to keep Downes, get Drinan, KVY, Rowe, Nynam, etc up to speed, after injury, and we will have a great YOUNG side ready to climb the leagues.

Our shorts yesterday
at 03:45 21 Sep 2020

Who cares, we won! If we need to mix up our kit to confuse the opposition to gain 3 points then let's wear sky blue pink! The player to mark is in the opposite colour, the player to pass to, is in the same colour that you are wearing!

Drinian Hawkins
at 03:34 21 Sep 2020

I like Drinans/Hawkins' style of play, drop deep to link in with midfield, allow midfielders and wingbacks to attack, but still be in the attacking zone at the end of an attack that might then have a goal scored by a midfielder.

Only me?
at 02:16 9 Sep 2020

I agree with you! A very refreshing team performance against Bristol Rovers, and a great result. A very similar team put out against Arsenal U21, Drinan having hit the woodwork early on, and then Nolan giving us the lead, until the last minute of the first half, then a corner kick, unfairly taken (outside of the quadrant) forced an equaliser. Arsenal U21 pushed forward more during the second half, and grabbed what proved to be the winning goal, but Town could still have won, Huws hitting the crossbar, and Nolan missing a wonderful chance that was cleared off the line. We are having to watch at home at the moment, but it is much better faire and with more flair than what we had to watch last year. My opinion, after two games: keep Drinan as your front runner (a young Murphy), have Sears closer to him, wing backs and Dozzell to supply. By the way, what has happen to Danny Rowe?

Again, that seems like an awful lot of knocks and injuries
at 03:55 5 Sep 2020

Why do we get so many injuries, several during training? How can David McGoldrick be so injury prone at Ipswich and yet play a whole season in The Prem for Sheffield United?
We are now going to start a 2nd season, in the 3rd tier of English football, with our whole playing staff, having months out to get fit, our fitness coaches to teach. Perhaps we need a 'mind coach'?
