“Town went back to second in the Championship after defeating now relegated Rotherham 4-3 at Portman Road. The scoreline ought to have been far more emphatic but complacent defending gifted the Millers three goals.”
Even the opening paragraph is almost the same.
This was also THAT Jamal Campbell-Ryce game where we all remember him performing like Messi.
Can all supporters booked on the 6pm Logan Air flight (Man-IoM) who would be prepared to give up their seat for players / staff, please make themselves known at the airport.
There is an aim to kick-off this match TOMORROW morning @ 11am.
A very different matchday experience. I’ve been reading up on FC Isle of Man as I didn’t realise they had a team in the mainland league, turns out they formed in 2019. They sound well structured to develop their ways up the league over the years, a bit like Jersey rugby possibly.
It has a touch of the Darren Moores about it in my view when he was asked ‘if you could be guaranteed 2nd now would you take it’ this time last year.
They majority seem to be wanting a draw as it gives them the best chance of chasing down both Leicester and us. Surely the sensible approach would be to want us to lose to solidify second and then just focus on getting promoted - regardless of 1st or 2nd?
I work with a lot of saints fans who have been mostly pragmatic through the season but this thread seems very arrogant from them and would give me more pleasure to see them slip up now. Don’t get me wrong, they’re in flying form and their fans should be full of confidence but seems to be a little bit ahead of themselves to worrying about Leicester?
I also note that Ipswich still seem to be viewed as woeful/lucky by Leicester and Saints fans with one or two mentioning our fight. Clearly we don’t have the prem quality their teams have but remarkable that they’re still writing us off when we sit 2nd at this point in the season. Still a huge ask for us of course but show us a little more respect!
Sadly another cardiac arrest at the Bolton v Cheltenham game today after 30 minutes and the game was subsequently abandoned.
There was a similar case at Leyton Orient v Lincoln earlier in the season late in the game that also led to abandonment.
Ipswich’s sad loss v QPR at half time didn’t lead to abandonment.
I don’t have a strong view on what the right response is but intrigued that our game continued when the two other examples I have to hand led to abandonments. I’m guessing the league guidance around this is to let the clubs and authorities come to an agreement locally?
Or the inability to picture/visualise anything. Recently discovered my wife has it (not something you actually talk about much to realise it). Apparently 1-5% of people have this which should mean statistically a good few on here.
Anyone heard of it before? I find it baffling, the idea that she can’t picture my face or her family’s faces or our wedding day or our front door etc.
She knows that an apple is green/red and has a stem etc but she can’t visualise it.

Trying to arrange social events that weekend and therefore saying to friends I'm available on the Saturday. How close to 100% confident are we that the game will be moved to the Sunday. In all my time supporting Ipswich I don't think I've ever know the game NOT to be a Sunday? I'm guessing Suffolk Police will mandate it?
Wasn’t a points thing. I’m on 5 points with no hope, had three mates in London keen so bought 4. We rely on the SWR trainline which we’ve discovered isn’t running to Reading tomorrow due to resignalling work so 2 have dropped out.
Therefore would return if it wasn’t so late but if anyone wants two free tickets then happy to meet outside the ground tomorrow. Maybe make a donation to Mason’s charity if you’re keen for them. DM me.
