So definitely looks like he’ll be on the move. Is this a genuine target or out of reach. 3-5m would be some fee for a CB. Thinking perhaps a step too far down for him here but who knows.

What kind of fee are we realistically expecting.. 1M region would be my guess given his suitors.
Also all those clubs linked,,, looks like we are trying to push the price up.

Had hoped we’d take a look at him again but seems unlikely.

Does the Jacobs story imply that under the Cook era the signing of Edwards was made by Ashton without perhaps the agreement of the manager. Obviously on reflection it’s worked well on this occasion. Also perhaps maybe more evidence that Cook wasn’t GC appointment and in this case they were doing what they thought best for the club rather than what the manager at the time wanted. Both player and Cook seemed disappointed.

You can be sure it’s going to be an exciting one to watch what we do. Whilst the rumours and discussion has already began I see, I’ll be taking a backseat and watching the show. Not that anyone would notice anyway!
I suspect the signings will happen a) quickly b) not anyone who we expect c) higher quality than we were thinking possible.
Pretty much how things have been done under MA already - Phil news story followed by announcement a few hours later and it’s for this reason I’ll be taking a back seat and watching others come up with Burns to Wrexham or Cashin to Town because neither will likely happen.

Realistically now this will be us. I actually fancy Derby to make top 2 and will be a huge challenge playing eitherPlymouth or Bolton/Both to get Promoted on current form. Appreciate things can change. Expectations have been high and rightly so but we are Ipswich and we were never gonna do this the easy way.

We need a striker of real quality. We didn’t get it in the summer and it shows. Hope new year brings us a nice Xmas present. Todays opponents btw were not even a good side.

7 appearances this season. Signed a 3 year deal before he went out on loan with Leicester to protect his value no doubt. Was definitely our no1 target if reports were correct. Wonder if there is something that can still be done here.

A lot being made of the fantastic support. I wonder when/if the club look to increase the capacity. The new owners would surely look at this given how they have done things so far. It would increase the sell on from a business perspective greatly too. My question would be could we generate the support to fill say a 40,000 all seater. Maybe even larger with safe standing. Looking at the list from the link below if we could establish ourselves around that number it would be a huge step in cementing our long term aspirations of being a (BiG) club again. Perhaps they might look at a new venue. All conservations they would have had.
