With Websters signing about to be announced, arguably showing a move from Mick to play out from the back more I was thinking where does this leave chambers our Captain. Quite clearly he could continue as a right back but you would think this is a position Mick needs to strengthen in and has needed for some time now ? Given his move towards the end of the season to try other options (foley/Emmanuel) would lead me to believe this may be an area he may look at. We all expect signings in the midfield and out wide but the most intersting one for me will be if we look to recruit a RB. We may not and it will be fought out between Chambers & Emmanuel. The LCB slot will surely be one of Berra/Smith. The RCB slot surely will go to Webster initially on the basis of the large fee we are about to outlay. I personally think Chambers isn't a great option at RB and coinciding with the Webster signing we may well see a budge from the same old same old back 4 next season. Can't see us playing 5 at the back incase suggested. For me New RB/ Webster/ Smith/ Kenlock
Having read lots of views and comments regarding the team selection from last night I thought id drop in my penny's worth. Whilst I understand that priority is promotion what I can't quite get my head around is the lack of amition shown by us/MM. Whilst on paper an away tie to United is as tough as it can come the total lack of ambition by making 11 changes does puzzle me somewhat. I'm a realistic supporter but what I don't buy into is that no matter what team we would have fielded we would have lost. There have been much bigger shocks in cup football than say 5th Place Ipswich beating Man united! Maybe I'm a romantic but surely that is what being a football supporter is all about. To conclude, I go regularly away and am a season ticket holder but I shall not be attending anymore League cup games home or away. A lot of people spent a lot of money and took a lot of time out of their lives to be at the game last night and quite frankly when the team was announced it felt like I'd just been pick pocketed. Until the club/management take this or any cup competition seriously why should us as supporters put our hard earned money in our pockets and do the same.
So 2 (0-0's) and a 1-0 in their first 3 games! Yet to concede a goal. Won't have a bigger test than tomor thou against our forwards. Dids and Sears to Start, can't see Mick risking Murph this early on in the season.
Had a water skiing accident at the weekend and believe i may have done some serious damage to my medial ligament. Started the process with my local GP and have an X-ray tomor as a precaution for broken bone segments. I'm aware that i will need an MRI for proper diagnosis. My local hospital would be Colchester. Not sure on wait times for scans? if anyone has experienced similar I would be interested in any advice, tips in the process and magic cure's you may have! I may well become a TWTD addict during my time off work which is concerning me already.
