Disappointing Result, But Can Some of Us Drop the Sense of Entitlement?
at 15:51:57

I thought the booing was disgraceful, unless it was aimed at the ref. It is not an excuse, we did not play well, but the refs recently have been abject. The Derby ref is by the far the worst I have ever seen. He made clearly wrong decisions that all benefited Derby. He should never referee at this level again, but he will probably be marshaling PL games in a couple of weeks.

The Wigan ref was nowhere near the level of Derby, but he made some baffling decisions. Smith's yellow for an innocuous first challenge...but a final warning for Noel Hunt and nothing but a foul for a terrible Wigan challenge just before the yellow. And then, a brilliant tackle by a Wigan player, sliding in hard and getting the ball, is seen as a foul and they get a yellow card (was he just balancing it out?). Also, the linesman today gave offside on Sears for what was clearly a bad pass from a Wigan player. To give the line-o the benefit of the doubt, he may not have seen it, but the ref had a view clear as day and still got it wrong.

The negativity from fans though is strange, I always take TWTD comments with a pinch of salt, we have a lot of trolls in the midst, but the booing and the end of the world style "we probably won't even make the playoffs" comments are just bonkers. Our record this season has been fantastic, through a heavily injury laden period we held on and got the wins, until eventually an FA Cup match plus replay took its toll and more injuries came our way and we lost, and lost again. Just look at where we are! Top six, three points off top, championship top scorer...

McCarthy Unsure of Taylor's Best Role
at 11:18:00

"we play 4-4-2" - do we have to always play that way? Playing Anderson on the right has not been working. Bring Taylor in and allow him a bit of freedom to drop in to the middle.

The Ipswich Town Doomsday Scenario
at 23:56:33

"Not close enough to home? Well, it was on May 4th, 1979 that Margaret Thatcher came to power and incidentally she predicted at Wembley the year before that the blues of Ipswich Town winning the FA CUP could prove to be a lucky omen!"

This sentence makes no sense at all. Could you explain? I don't think Her Mags ever made a prediction about Ipswich, or any football results for that matter. Also, if you meant presided then your use, or rather lack off use, of punctuation and construction of sentences should probably be looked in to.

Town Drop to 20th
at 12:45:48

Kerryblue, despite Chopra's lack of appearances, especially under Mick's set up, he has given us 10 points this season almost single handedly. I am sure people like you would happily not have those points just because you are a judgemental bunch. Cutting off your nose to spite your face. Some of the so called 'fans' on here seem to treat supporting 'their' team as a chance just to act like a bully and know it all. If you knew so much about football you would have your place out there managing one or kicking it about the pitch for a few grand a week. Why be so vindictive and vile in your posts about Ipswich players, which I have noticed you often are, they are people you know, don't take out your failings on them.

McCarthy: We Were Beaten By a Better Team
at 14:01:21

What do you mean by that runningout?

Thought I would add, Chopra had a cracking game. Shouldn't be judged for not scoring, his effort was second to none and carved out three good chances from terrible supply. The overhead, the header and the one two with Martin were the best he could work with. Shocking lack of creativity and supply. Our defence and midfield need to be happy to knock it about between each other for more than a minute. I didn't mind us going backwards under pressure, hated the fact that we went backwards and then just hoofed it up and put ourselves under pressure. We should go backwards, keep possession, keep shape and wait for the right moment to start going forward. We were sitting far too deep and making silly mistakes that just piled on the pressure.

Chopra was a ray of light in a shocking display. Can't keep the ball but more importantly, we created next to nothing. Excellent and hard working display from Chops unlucky not to score from an audacious overhead. Start him every game. N'daw is just not creative enough for the amount of passes he tried to make. Desperately need a brain in midfield. Hyam is young enough to be coached in this direction but somebody in the squad needs to show him what real midfield class is. I remember the Bullard loan spell, could pick a pass before the forwards even new they were going to be on the end if it. Hope Wordsworth will be this man next season, but emergency loan for a creative CM would be my priority.

Kerryblue clearly a budgie in disguise. If not what possible pleasure do you get from slating a player who has done well for us when asked in front of often shocking defence.

kerryblue, why the sh1t are you comparing him to Hitler, that really is pathetic. And a little Hitler is obviously not what you think it is. Basically it's a jobsworth. Someone who enjoys there tiny bit of power too much.

Why The Window Should Be Left Wide Open

Oh and Palace would have sold him without the loan back to them...it's 15 flipping million pounds. They can't say no. Luckily for them Man U see sense in letting the player flourish in a team that is playing very well.

Buying and loaning is entirely fair. In fact many suggested we should do that with Wickham as he needed to be playing to develop. By buying the player they ensure their price doesn't rocket and that they definitely have their man. Then loaning him back means the player gets to carry on developing in an environment that has been very good for them but with the added bonus of having influence over his development. I think the loan back deals are perfect for promising youngsters and think it would have done wonders for Wickham who may have been knocking on England's door if he was actually given a chance to play football. I can't forgive O'neil for possibly stunting the growth and maybe ruining the prospects of such a skilled payer.

Manager McCarthy Only Doubt for Boro's Visit

@tractorog The way that club is going "the current Wolves management" won't be the same come end of season. After having so much faith in one manager the have gone to the other end of the spectrum, I mean why did they sack their last manager, he hadn't even had a season.

Town Confirm Henderson's Return
at 10:48:13

Will be very disappointed if Loach loses his place to two-touch Henderson. He doesn't clear his area quick enough and he often bats quite simple saves straight back at the opposing team. The 3rd Brighton goal he let him sums him up. He went for a dive when he could have run to collect and the ball did exactly what you would expect...bounce. Henderson is better than ALB and good to keep Loach on his toes but unless Loach has a howler he shouldn't be dropped. PJ made the mistake of damaging the confidence of players by throwing in replacements for no good reason and because he was at a loss of what to do and was trying anything...lets hope MM doesn't do the same. Consistent back line and keeper is what we need. Scott made some great saves at Barnsley and kept us in it at times, including making himself big in the one on ones with harewood and not batting it straight back at his feet like I suspect Hendo would have done.
