Why would our American owners look to employ a new manager who was not as experienced as the manager they have just sacked.
None of the potential candidates have more knowledge than Paul Cook so surely they will go with a bigger name than what we are being linked with at the moment.
If the owners are desperate for promotion they must have bigger targets in mind. |

Cannot understand why last night we had two central midfielders playing that deep.
Dozzell was picking the ball up 25-30 yards from his own goal trying to carry the ball forward and having nowhere to go with it as Skuse didn’t go past the half way line. That meant six players were already behind the ball, the two wider players never received the ball higher up the pitch because their starting positions were too close to both full backs who hadn’t pushed further forward. This left Parrot trying to find little holes to get the ball from Dozzell ,or the ball being lumped forward for a non existent Jackson to run around like a headless chicken chasing lost causes,or when he did receive the ball, failing to keep control of it. This is where we really need a box to box midfielder as otherwise we will carry on playing up to the halfway line then playing the ball sideways and then back to our defenders who lump it forward to nothing |

I would rather have good division 1 players playing roughly 30 games a season than so called championship standed players who only play 10-20 games a season at the most.
Some of our players are on easy street here, they get good wages for half a seasons work and I don’t believe it bothers them one bit. They will still be here adding to their retiring fund next season with no reason to try as if they ever got promoted most of them would have to find new employment

I’ve been reading posts that this year we have spent a few million on players.
What hasn’t been suggested is that because of overinflated transfer fees being asked we realistically are not getting the million plus strikers or players we crave
£1 million ponds now is probably equivalent to £250000 a couple of years ago hence we’re not paying enough money even for top players from lower leagues
That suggests to me that Evans can’t see what’s staring him in the face
Lack of knowledge and investment in both management and players, if you pay peanuts you get monkeys.

Considering our manager was a defender why is it we always give poor goals away and he says we should defend better
