Former Forward Clarke Dies
at 22:47:39

A favourite of mine and woe betide a goalkeeper or a centre half on a 50:50 chance! A committed forward and great in the air. Jimmy Robertson put the ball on his head and we staved of relegation.
My thoughts are with his family at this time.

Tractor Girls Beaten By Saints in League Cup
at 19:12:52

A brilliant save by the Southampton keeper won it for them. Not much between the teams but Southampton just edged a great game. Great turnout for the game.

BBC Radio Suffolk Agree New Commentary Deal
at 12:11:46

The commentator needs to understand football (rules!) and stop asking MM stupid questions! Gradually improving but if 5live have a commentary on Ipswich listen to that rather than Radio Suffer.
Mills is a delight to listen to and always has been a bit slow but you cant fault his knowledge and reading of the game. A massive improvement on some of the other summarisers!

Mills: Management Change Came Just in Time
at 16:29:44

I agree that Mick Mills is one of the very best pundit we have had on Radio Suffer for a while. Knows the game, understands the tactics and knows the players. He will give you a view of the issues and the way the team is playing (or should be!). He's not been far off with his views and his reading of the game.
Very diplomatic in showing where PJ was going wrong and offered some steady advice regarding who could or would come in in October. A giant leap from some we have had. I think we need a commentator who knows the rules and understands the game very often commentates on a different game to the one I am watching!!!

Chambers Players' Player of the Year
at 12:33:54

MM dropped him when he first came and that has worked wonders! Since then he has been exemplary and performed very well.
Well deserved award and here's hoping he might get even better as time goes on.

Clegg: Academy Amongst Proudest Achievements at Town
at 10:47:05

Well Said naa.
I'd like to see some of the so called experts on here doing Mr Cleggs job. There is a lot more to running ITFC than meets the eye. He runs the business side and manager is in charge of the team and makes 'footballing' decisions i.e.selling and buying
I think you only have to see how things are going with certain players to know some price themselves out of a club.
I remember Brian Clough saying bemoaning the breakup of Notts Forest which was down to one player saying he got so much per week and then all the others wanted the same which was not sustainable even in those days and players left or were unhappy.
Its also clear to see with the crowds down at PR that is having a big effect on finances at the club to the tune of a few million over the year.

Martin Going Nowhere

I agree witht the TheHighwayman. Promises a lot but delivers very little. His end product is poor, can't cross and can't score goals.

Town Topic: Who Next for Town?
at 14:17:25

Mick Mills put it so well last night let the job vacancy be known and plenty of people will apply and they will be the ones who want to come here and select from them. No point in sounding people out because we want someone who wants to manage here not someone who is just after the money.
We need someone who understands ITFC not someone like Keane who did all he can to break it!

Jewell Confirms Owner's Backing
at 11:49:41

Ironic as Ipswich finished Jewell at Derby then Derby could return the compliment!!!!
Act in haste repent at your leisure!! Who knows where we would have been had Keane not destroyed the club! Ironically it could have been the premiership!!

Martin: Contract Talks Have Stalled
at 10:21:41

If he delivered more he would be a real asset but sadly a lot of running with no end product is not good enough. If he delivered good crosses and goals on a regular basis he might get a good contract offer. I'm sure its a case for Lee to earn a new contract!

I don't think he was good enough and certainly well down the pecking order. So let him go and bring others in.
