 | Forum Thread | With FFP in mind... at 13:55 5 Apr 2013
What's the betting that this summer Town will sign the biggest sponsorship deal in the club's history with Marcus Evans. Quote from 2008 "Ipswich Town Football Club is proud to announce that the Marcus Evans Group will be the Club's official sponsor for the next five years. The sponsorship contract is the longest in the Club's history and will see the Marcus Evans name emblazoned on the Ipswich Town shirt until the summer of 2013." "The multi-million pound deal further strengthens Marcus Evans's long-term commitment to Ipswich Town and provides additional revenue for the Club on top of initial investment made by the British entrepreneur." As long as we stay up I've a sneaky feeling this is the way Town will get around FFP because I can't see that McCarthy would have accepted the job unless there was going to be serious money available to him at some point. |

for the team to play 433 with two other strikers playing off a big man and running the channels. Going direct may not be pretty but seeing as we cant keep hold of the ball and constantly play the ball back it may lead to us scoring a few although conceding will always be our achilles heel. Hoof ball - I never thought I'd say that! |

MM will go with 3 centre halfs on Sat, possibly moving NDaw back I remember one of the things BFJ did in his first month or so was to have 3 centre halves with I think Matty Holland moving back. Seemed to work ok. |

Is the ex Wigan guy, can't think of his name David something still at Town? He was at Derby with PJ. Not heard his name mentioned for a while. |
