We’ve actually been slight outsiders for a couple of recent games at the bookies (Boro and West Brom away), however this is the first time this season a side has been odds on to win against us. I’m struggling to think the last time we played a match where that would have been the case, probably have to go back to the Cook/Lambert days! |

Unbelievable stuff, thought he would pull out the win either in the latter rounds or by decision but that was an absolute statement. Delighted for him as he’s not been known by the wider UFC community but hopefully that performance puts him on the map and hopefully a title shot is in the offing soon. |

Great performance imo, should have possibly got the finish on one of those two knockdowns but decent fight management at the end to see it out. Hell of a win streak he's on and hopefully a big name coming up next. |

Wow that does seem rather "generous" of them for a manager market, SkyBet in particular don't seem to let you win more than £300-400 on that sort of stuff. Hopefully yourself and others managed to clean them out for a decent amount |

Betting on manager or transfer markets they often put on pretty tight stake restrictions as people clearly can get inside info on this sort of stuff so bookies are very keen to limit winnings. I didn't put anything on myself but I imagine at 7/1 you weren't allowed to put on any more than £50 [Post edited 13 Mar 2021 10:10]

I wouldn't put too much weight into the manager odds, it's not surprising Cowley's odds have shortened as virtually no one would be putting money on Cook when he was 1/20 whereas some may have punted a bit on Cowley at 10/1 and from there it can snowball hence the shortening.
If Cook gets closer to evens could be a good value bet given all reports are saying his talks are pretty advanced but would be surprised if they drifted much more. |

Fleetwood have just appointed Grayson this afternoon so don't have to worry about one of them going there, quite happy Grayson's off the market as well as that would've been the type of appointment that would have underwhelmed the fanbase I reckon. Whether or not he was in ME's thinking or not I'm not sure. |

If you're expecting £10M for Downes then I fear you may be extremely disappointed if we do sell him this window.
Eze and Downes really aren't comparable in terms of value given Eze is coming off of a 14 goal + 8 assist Championship season whereas Downes has had a very good season as a box-to-box midfielder in the division below, the drop off in value between the two leagues is quite dramatic before you consider the inflated price paid for attackers.
Looking at what Toney is going to Brentford for, £6.5M potentially rising to £10M, we're not going to command a higher fee for Downes than the top scorer and arguably best player in the league last year who is also at an age where he has some resale value.
Ultimately our best bet is trying to hang on to Downes for this season and get promoted because then we are not only selling as a Championship club but we can also hopefully reinvest the fee back into the squad, something we'll struggle to do at the moment with the salary cap restrictions but I guess time will tell. |

Thought it was a pretty good card overall, Gaethje put on an absolute clinic and it's testament to how tough Ferguson really is that he lasted until the 5th because he got caught with numerous big hits that were highlighted by the lack of crowd.
Slightly disappointed that it probably means the end of the Khabib vs Ferguson saga as I can't see that fight being made now, ridiculous that it never managed to happen but I think Gaetjhe will be Khabib's toughest fight if he can perform to that level again but I still think Khabib will have too much for him. |

Funnily enough I’m in the exact same position as your son, was born a month after the playoff final as well and my dad keeps telling me that eventually we’ll see some resemblance of good times again, I’d be lying if I wasn’t jealous whenever he mentions seeing us win the FA Cup or going to see the UEFA Cup final second leg though!
It’s hard to even pinpoint a highlight of following Ipswich to be honest but I’m convinced that all the dross we’ve put up with for the last 10 years will make any moment of glory absolutely euphoric but hard to see where it might come from at the moment, still hoping I’ll see us at Wembley before I’m 30 fingers crossed! |

I also started keeping count and managed to to see 17 games without a win between us beating Forest 4-2 (2nd Dec 2017) and Rotherham 1-0 (12th Jan 2019) |
