Dreadful football instigated by a "manager" well past his sell by date. How on earth a manager can week in week out insist on playing such dreadful fare is beyond me. Now is the tike to relieve him immediately of his duties and start planning a new Town era with the emphasis on young academy players and attacking soccer all the way with Bryan Klug laying down the law on how we should play.
Time to go McCarthy and for the club to win back the hearts and minds of the rapidly diminishing football public. |

The way we play under McCarthy is the complete antithesis of Barcelona/PSG..a total contradiction of how football has evolved. We should produce a DVD on how not to play football the modern way..the McCarthy way..with a government health warning...showing how clueless, sterile and one dimensional a team can play with a manager who has only one plan..... i.e play for a point, hoofing, sideways passing...and endeavour to "win" matches without attempts on goal. |

After watching MOTD and seeing Watford vs Southampton, I think McCarthy must be on another planet as the style of football played in that game just to take an example to be a protagonist team has moved on and is all about forward play, and movement, creating chances, speed o the ball, movement up field and players comfortable on the ball....these are qualities that we don't have. On the contrary we have a manager who can only play one way...sideways passing, long hopeful punts anywhere, and a rigid system which plays to safeguarding a point and never taking the initiative, even against world beaters like Lincoln City, Rotherham and Brentford. Football has evolved but McCarthy is still stuck in his turgid play it safe way. Football has most definitely moved on and we are sinking fast make no mistake.
Fans go on that he does have the funds but I recall Joe Royle had even LESS funds and played with an attacking verve which was a joy to watch and respectful of the Ipswich tradition of playing good and enterprising football.
Our youngsters are not given a chance and never will be under him...where has Emmanuel gone and why does he drop him for loanees when we should be building for the future and Bishop seems to have dropped off the radar. It is time for a BIG change and it starts with a new manager..and quick.

Most sensible supporters fully expect mccarthy to defend himself against the boring, no scoring rubbish he is serving up to customers paying top dollar for the privilege. Don't adopt the attitude that you know better than the supporters since most know what good football is and you are certainly not providing it. "It feels like ive been away for such a long time. I have been back in Ipswich for a few years now just living my life and enjoying my family. But seeing this job come available again, i just couldnt resist. I do feel like i have a wee bit of unfinished business. Im excited now to knuckle down and get this club back to where it belongs!"

But i do feel as though the first thing i must do, is bring back the family club feeling to this club.
