I'd be happier with Taylor than Boyd. Living not far from Peterborough I've seen a fair bit of them and while Boyd is a good player he's not what we need. Boyd is a creator of chances; something that we don't actually have a problem doing. I believe I saw a stat from last season that claimed we had more shots than anyone else last season AND the most shots on target. It doesn't take a braniac to tell you creating chances isn't we we're faltering. From what I've seen of us this season we won't have too many problems finding opportunities.
What we do need is an out and out goalscorer and Taylor is that. Just look at what he did to us at London Road last season. He'll take the chances that we've made a mess of this season. He'll link up well with others too.
I'd hoped with we'd sign both but given the option of one of them I'd rather it be Taylor. |
