Mark Beevers
at 18:37 5 Apr 2018

A little bit more digging for shrewd business. Centre back area ccentrainly looks an area the Town need to strengthen in the new window, with a left footed centre back seeming to be the best fit for balance since Smith left. Mark Beevers looks like he could fit the mould.

At 6 ft 4 inch, the former Millwall and Sheffield Wednesday man is set to become a free transfer after not penning a new deal, suspect fully to the fact Bolton are in a relegation scrap.

Having made over a 100 appearances at championship level for Sheffield Wednesday and 100 more between Millwall and Bolton, the experienced man, aged currently 28 could prove to be a good bit of business.

Guaranteed starters 18/19
at 18:12 5 Apr 2018

If you look at our squad right now, and presume it is fully fit for the opening day of next season, who are your guaranteed starters. No loans, no new signings, just current squad. I see in mine:
Bart
Webster
Huws
Waghorn

Josh Windass or Barrie McKay
at 13:02 5 Apr 2018

I looking at the squad, a few shrewd free transfers and a couple of loanees from premiership teams. With the outgoing 'deadwood'. the real areas that need strengthening are CB, RB and Left Wing.

For the left wing role - the two that stand out so far are Josh Windass (Rangers FC) and Barrie McKay (Notts Forest). Both young so investment in them now could reap great rewards in the future which is why i think Evans could be pursuaded in purchasing. (Like Ward, Webster, Waghorn & Garner).

For me of a 'long shot' approach, a young man called Jordan Jones is having a good campaign for Kilmarnock.

The Teddy Bishop debate
at 23:41 4 Apr 2018

For me it is a no brainier, a young man of his age has so much potential and we shouldn’t be allowing him to leave because of a torrid time of injuries.
I believe a two year deal with an option, a proper pre season and we could see the best out of him in an attacking midfield role.

Andreas Bjelland
at 01:27 4 Apr 2018

Always love to do a bit of digging to find a few bargains for the upcoming transfer window. Top priority would be the signing of Andreas Bjelland.

Bjelland, 29 is contract due to expire this summer after making over 60 appearances for the club since joining from FC Twente in 2015.

A very solid and aggressive centre half, naturally left footed would add perfect balance and competition to the back, would slot in comfortably as the left sided centre back along side Webster, and next too his fellow countrymen Jonas Knudsen, for which he has represented his country 28 times.

For me seems like some smart, shrewd business that could be done.

Sick to death of hearing ‘spent no money’
at 00:35 4 Apr 2018

whether it be from ITFC fans or the naive outsiders look in. I am sick to death of hearing we’ve spent no money.
When I think of the biggest problem of Mick, it’s his philosophy, it’s as simple as that. He could be coaching Ipswich, or Real Madrid, he will never change his approach.
Saturday proved the positive approach that should have been implemented week in week out, away or at home. We didn’t even win on Saturday and I came away more entertained for as long as I can remember.

Mick McCarthy Exit

Looks inevitable that MM will be departed within the net 72 hours. See no reason to rush an appointment. Give Gerard Nash the final games, obviously will be able to play some of the youth aswell.

Make a judgemental call at the end of the season, after full due dilligence is done.

Graham Potter

Ostersunds English manager has grown their club from the lower depths of Swedish football to be high end Swedish division side, competiting in the Europa League, actually perceived to have performed a "masterclass" over Galatasaray last year in a 2-0 win.

The prospect of coming to manager a championship wouldn't be too attractive if he wasn't English. But for the chance to be one step off the premier league would potentially be an opportunity he couldn't refuse.

a man who has developed if club in a 3-4-3 system, playing groundwork football in between the lines, also loyal as this year his 6th, gurnanteed support from ME and wages enough to lure loans/frees and the ever growing academy prospects.

Certainly a very, very good option.

Erhun Oztumer
at 22:30 1 Apr 2018

Has anyone seen the number 10, Erhun Oztumer, dubbed the "Turkish Messi" is having the season of his life in League 1 for Walsall, scoring a current total of 16 goals and 6 assists from attacking midfield.

The reason posting this on here is that I noticed that his contract is up in the summer and I'm sure he'll be looking for a move to the championship with him now 26.

Can't see him starting ahead of Dozzell every week next year but some of the things he can do on a football pitch are incredible.

surely worth offering a two year contract, a real real "flair" player, or a "game changer" from the bench.

This is smart business and exactly how we should operate in the transfer market.

Most excitement we’ve had in 18 months
at 20:42 26 Mar 2018

It’s near comical that the most entertainment that Town fans are enduring of the last 18 months is the ’MM future’ saga. It shows a true reflection of the value on show from MM that the most fun I’m having with ITFC is when we are on an international break, not football at all and all the entertainment is surrounding off field matters.
Need I say anymore.
