Healy and Trialist Net in Celtic Draw
Wed 25th Nov 2009 16:27

Town’s reserves drew 2-2 with Celtic in this afternoon’s behind-closed-doors friendly at Portman Road. Colin Healy and trialist Devann Yao, who TWTD revealed was with the club on Saturday, netted the goals for the Blues with Graham Carey (pen) and Willo Flood on target for the Bhoys.

Former Celtic midfielder Healy opened the scoring with a clever lob on the half hour with New Yorker Yao adding the second from a long Connor Wickham throw after the break. Carey’s penalty, then Flood’s goal on 85 saw the sides end the game level.

Town, who were watched by boss Roy Keane, also included Tommy Smith, Jack Colback, Liam Trotter, Pablo Couñago, Richard Wright, Troy Brown and Jaime Peters in their side, while the travelling Celtic party included former Blue Mark Venus, who is Tony Mowbray’s assistant at Parkhead.

So connor wickham has a long throw in his locker, that should add an extra mil to his value. I hope the lad gets a chance in the 1st team soon, with the amount of goals we been or not been scoring as the case may be recently, what have we got to lose.

Nice to see Keane took the afternoon off to watch a meaningless friendly! Why the hell wasn't he phoning every manager he knows trying to secure a loan striker before tomorrows deadline?!?!?!......

Richard Wright concedes TWO goals - begovic only conceeded FOUR in SIX first team games. Surely people can see that Wright is not good enough? He will cost s points - just as he did before he was rightly dropped.

Who says Keane was not busy looking at potential signings? There's enough clues in the article for eff's sake.

jas0999 aswell as having the reserve team infront him one of the goals happend to be a penalty and you cant save them all.
begovic is being very overrated he wasnt really tested, The games we played were against poor oposition compared to what wright faced and less goals going being conceeded was also down to david wright coming in at left back who doesnt let people walk past him as much as any1 else has at left back. keane was "Wright" :) to drop richard as he made 1 or two howlers begovic also made a whopper of a mistake on the sky camers and was lucky they did not score...so get over yourself and go back to your championship manager game

I'll be disappointed if we play on Saturday as tyhe website says its a SUnday 3pm kick off!

If you are worried about the goalkeeper we should sign ITFCHORRY he only let in 7 from a 12 year old Swedish boy and we never scored much, but then we had Phil Ham up front on the left and that was it.
