Wickham Set for Youth Cup Action Wed 02nd Dec 2009 08:54
Striker Connor Wickham will play for the Town U18s tonight when they start their FA Youth Cup campaign with a third round trip to Tranmere’s Prenton Park (KO 7pm). Wickham is the only U18 player with first team experience.
On-loan Spurs keeper Mirko Ranieri will be in goal with Ian McLoughlin too old to feature in the competition.
Also in the side will be Irish U19 international striker Ronan Murray, Ipswich-born midfielder Billy Clark, former Irish U16 international midfielder David Cawley and highly-rated central defender Tom Eastman.
The Blues last won the Youth Cup in 2005, having previously been successful in 1973 and 1975.

I just can't see what warranted such a comment?? I just want to see our up and coming players smash in a couple of goals and develop in their roles and to get told "get a life" shocked me, but cheers for the Support Devon!

My Son plays in the FA youth cup tonight against Stockport County . Plays for Carlton Town academy , the lowest ranked side left in the competition . Just thought I'd add that little not. It's all good stuff and very exciting for all the lads involved but do you think Connor will get the same buzz as my Son ? I don't think so hey . Good luck Connor and good luck Mitch for tonight .... Up the Carlton Town... Oh and the Blues of course
One proud old man I have to say !!!!
