Friday, 21st Jan 2011 13:47

Town’s Mr Versatile Jaime Peters has been named in the Canada squad for their friendly against Greece in Larissa on February 9th.

The 23-year-old midfielder, full-back and very occasional frontman has previously won 23 full caps for his country.

Meanwhile, winger Reggie Lambe is again set to skipper Bermuda’s U20s later today when they face Netherlands Antilles in their second CONCACAF U20 second round qualifying group game in Surinam.

The Bermudian youngsters beat 10-man Guyana 3-0 in their first match and take on hosts Surinam on Sunday in their final game. Bermuda need to top the group in order to qualify for the CONCACAF Championship in Guatemala in April which also serves as qualification for the U20 World Cup in Colombia in the summer.

Lambe has previously won nine full Bermuda caps, scoring four goals, in addition to games at U23 and U20 levels.

A decent hardworking player who deserves to be recognized for his effort. If PJ is getting a RB then he will hopefully move into that more attacking role of RW as he is prepared to take players on and put in a good cross or two as well.
