Superb performance from a newly-inspired Town team.

An excellent point following ref's hung ho flashing of the yellow card in the first half. The inexperienced defence held out well' especially in the last 20 minutes. Huws and McGoldrick looked good again. Appropriate subs by McC. However, injuries look a further problem, not helped by Lawrence's daft booking and consequent suspension.
Things looking up overall.....at last.

Again, wasn't at the game but I can finally see something special in this Town team. Carry on like this and I seriously think next season could see us go up. I will look forward to going on Saturday as will other Ipswich supporters. BLUE ARMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cracking, open game of football. Good atmosphere. Odd formation for Town, and I've no idea what position Spence was playing :-) We grew in confidence and played some good stuff. McGoldrick was really fired up and chasing/harrying which is great to see.
Ref was appalling. Set himself up for it by booking Kenlock early on. Did the classic of making a wrong decision that both sets of fans were laughing at.
Great pace from us going forward....Kenlock, Emmanuel, Grant covered lots of ground. Some shaky first touches/positioning, but they are young and will hopefully improve their composure. Toumani and Huws give more energy and mobility to the midfield, especially Huws.
Not sure how we weren't 2-1 up in the second half, but then Bart made a fantastic save and Murray missed a sitter.
Douglas - I don't like him as a player, though I'm willing to see the positives, but honestly, what did he do after he came on? He touched the ball once I think. He just can't get near the action due to his slowness.
Overall though - Great. We set up to attack, score goals and win a match. Surely, as fans, that's all we want?
