...... for once words fail me - and no doubt others feel the same. Dire result.

Gutted. You cannot miss chances like martins and not expect to pay for it.

Back after watching the game. Daylight robbery. We should have won the game easily as Bristol were a poor side. Very comfortable first half and should have been a couple up. Was always worried 1 goal is never enough for us. Hats off for the Bristol goad, a good move and finish but lost our way after that until last 20 mins when had at least 3 good chances to win it. Only to get hit with a sucker punch. Good following from Town though. Our central two in midfield were solid but too many square balls. We desperately need some creativity as Martin and Edwards are off form at present. Front two working off scraps. Keep the faith though as we should be ok this season - hopefully!

Abysmal game between two poor sides.

The only moment of real quality won the game for Bristol, in all fairness Stead created and took his chance exceptionally well.

Positives:

Hyam – more than capable DM if we fail to sign N’Daw, that said, playing both in the same team leaves us bereft of ideas in central mid.

McGoldrick – looks a decent acquisition, intelligent and tricky – really hope he scores soon as confidence is so important.

Smith and Chambers – good partnership developing and were very comfortable for the most part.

Murphy – won every header and looks hungry, took his goal well.

Good support and noise from us. Apologies to the bloke sat next to me, I ruined his afternoon by singing, sorry mate.

Negatives:

Lacking creativity generally.

Edwards was anonymous in my opinion.

Two poor goals to concede.

Bit surprised Mick didn’t ring the changes mid-way through second half when the game was particularly stale, how long were the subs warming up for?! Still MM has forgotten more about football than I will ever know, so I assume he was happy with a point or thought we would create chances sooner or later.

Should of at least escaped with a point.
