Lee: It's Our Fault - Ipswich Town News

Striker Alan Lee says Town's poor start to the season, the club's worst since 1956/57, is down to the players and not new manager Jim Magilton. The Republic of Ireland international admitted responsibility for Leicester's opening goal, having lost Foxes defender Patrick Kisnorbo as a freekick was whipped in from the right.

Lee said: "It was my job to mark Patrick Kisnorbo at freekicks and corners and I let him go for the first goal on Saturday. It's the first time that has happened to me since I joined Ipswich - and it will be the last.

"On the training ground everything is fine, but we are letting the manager down on the pitch. It is early days and we mustn't panic. We are a better side than we've shown so far, and there is ability in the squad to move up the table."

On Sunday Lee pulled out of the Republic of Ireland squad playing Holland on Wednesday due to the hip inury he sustained in the second half at the Walkers Stadium.
