Clarke Doubtful - Ipswich Town News

Striker Billy Clarke is considered a doubt for Saturday's home game with Hull after the injury he sustained in today's reserve game was revealed to be a dead leg. Young defender Luke Webster's injury is not as serious as first feared, the academy player suffering an ankle ligament strain.

Webster had only just replaced young full-back Michael Synnott who had suffered an injury himself.

Dave Williams, Town's head of sports science, summed up the various injuries for the club site: "Michael Synnott has a dislocated thumb and was taken to hospital to have it put back in place.

"We will need confirmation on whether there is any fracture, so it's too early to tell when he will be back playing again.

"Billy suffered a dead leg in the game and had to come off and, at this stage, it looks doubtful for him for the weekend.

"These sort of injuries normally take about five days to settle down and, although he has not been ruled out for Hull, it does look unlikely. We'll have more of an idea on Thursday.

"Luke Webster was also injured. He was taken off on a stretcher and has an ankle ligament sprain.

"It's difficult to tell how long he will be out, but it will be around three weeks minimum I would think."
