Jim Confirms McGreal Link - Ipswich Town News
Boss Jim Magilton has confirmed last weekend's reports linking Burnley central defender John McGreal with a possible return to Portman Road. The Town manager has enquired about taking the 34-year-old on loan.
Magilton said: "We have expressed an interest in John and we are waiting to see what happens. That is one of the irons we have in the fire.”
McGreal has been left on the bench in each of Burnley's three games so far this season, but is still likely to be in manager Steve Cotterill's plans having been a linchpin of the Clarets' defence since leaving Portman Road in the summer of 2004.
