Town Sign Brittain - Ipswich Town News
Town have signed former Newcastle United midfielder Martin Brittain on a one-year deal after a two-week trial. TWTD was first to break the news that the 21-year-old was set to spend time with the Blues.
Boss Jim Magilton told the club site: "Martin has been with us for a few weeks and he's done very well.
"He gives us something different on the flank and we have offered him a one-year contract which we are delighted he has agreed to."
Brittain impressed in last week's first reserve game of the season at the MK Dons, sending in a number of dangerous crosses.
The 5ft 8in tall midfielder made eight appearances for Newcastle and had spells on trial with Brighton and Kilmarnock prior to coming to Portman Road.
