Loan Bid Fails - Ipswich Town News
Town are understood to have failed in a loan bid for Fulham's Democratic Republic of Congo defender Gabriel Zakuani prior to last week's transfer deadline. The 20-year-old signed for the Cottagers from Leyton Orient for £1 million in July.
Zakuani, who moved to London as a child, made 87 appearances and scored three goals for the O's after making his debut as a 16-year-old, but is yet to appear for his new club.
A number of other Championship sides, including Crystal Palace, also enquired about the 6ft 1in tall central defender's availability on loan.
