Hughes Deal Later This Week - Ipswich Town News
Sources in Birmingham are suggesting that a deal for Bryan Hughes may go through as soon as the end of this week. Different sources suggest different fees, but it seems as if somewhere between £2 million and £3 million is likely.
Hughes is not getting a regular game in the Birmingham side in his favourite central midfield role. He has been forced out on to the flanks by Trevor Francis. With Curtis Woodhouse signing last week it looks as though Hughes's opportunities in central midfield will be even further reduced and it seems likely that if a decent offer came in Birmingham would sell him.
Town see him as the man for the role they were planning for Hassan Kachloul, Claus Jensen or Gert Verheyen. From what we can gather a deal by the end of the week may well be on the cards.
