Casement Set for Loan - Ipswich Town News

Northern Irish defender Chris Casement is close to making a loan move to gain experience. The 18-year-old is wanted by several lower division clubs with Boston United amongst them.

Boss Jim Magilton said: "It would really benefit Chris and some of the other lads to get regular first team football. Our reserve fixtures are a bit limited these days.

"I have had a number of League One and Two clubs on to me and it is possible we might do something pretty soon."

Casement, called up to a Northern Ireland U19 training camp earlier this week, was a member of the 2005 FA Youth Cup-winning side. The central defender or right-back has made two starts and four sub appearances for the Town first team.

Other young players who might be considered for similar spells include defenders Michael Synnott and James Krause, midfielder Sammy Moore and striker Darryl Knights. Midfielder Liam Trotter joined Millwall on a loan spell until January before the transfer window closed.
