Jim Confirms Loan - Ipswich Town News
Boss Jim Magilton has confirmed that trialist George O'Callaghan will join the Blues on loan, as first reported by TWTD yesterday. The 27-year-old Cork City midfielder has spent the last fortnight training at Playford Road.
Magilton said: "George is someone we like but he can't play until the window reopens, so he is going to train here with a view to joining on loan in January."
O'Callaghan is likely to be available on a free transfer come the end of the season. The former Port Vale man, rated as one of the best players in the Eircom League in recent seasons, fell out with Cork boss Damien Richardson earlier in the year over a fine imposed by the club and hasn't played for them since.
