Brian Steen Linked! - Ipswich Town News
Town are being linked to Danish midfielder Brian Steen Nielsen, a man not to be confused with the former Luton striker Brian Stein. The 32-year-old is currently at AB Copenhagen, but has been widely reported to be on his way out of Claus Thomsen's old club.
Nielsen is not exactly the usual sort of player targeted by Town as he is getting on a bit, but he could be the first recommendation from Scandinavia-based European Scout Simon Hunt. However, we aren't holding our breath. From what we can gather he is a more defensive midfielder than the type Town have been targeting (Kachloul, Verheyen, Wilson, Hughes).
Nielsen played for Denmark in Euro 2000 and has been a regular international since the early 1990s.
