Gavin Gutted - Ipswich Town News
Midfielder Gavin Williams says he is gutted that he will miss October due to groin surgery. The Wales international will undergo the hernia operation later this week.
Williams told the club site: "The groin has been sore for a while now and, after exploring all the possibilities, I've been told I need an operation.
"It's really disappointing. I'm gutted to be honest, because I was enjoying my football and things were going pretty well.
"I hate missing games anyway but, having been out injured at the end of last season, it is even more frustrating to lose out again.
"I just hope the surgery goes well and I can get back on the training ground as soon as I can."
Williams would have missed the West Brom game in any case after reaching five bookings for the season.
