Reserves Face Shrimpers - Ipswich Town News
Town's reserves are in action this evening against Southend at Portman Road (KO 7pm). The most senior players involved are Dean Bowditch and Scott Barron, while recent signings Martin Brittain and Ian Miller are also named.
Also in the side is young striker Jordan Rhodes, who has scored a goal in each of his two U18 games since returning from a broken collar bone.
Jaime Peters is in from the start, fresh from scoring the winner in the Canada U20 side's impressive 2-1 victory in the Czech Republic on Friday.
Scouts are likely to be keeping an eye on the Canadian winger, Sammy Moore and Scott Barron with a view to taking them on loan. Boss Jim Magilton has previously made the trio and Chris Casement available for short-term moves away from Portman Road.
Reserves: Plummer, Synnott, Barron, Moore, Miller, Krause, Brittain, Bowditch, Knights, Rhodes, Peters. Subs: Upson, Short, Reason, Fenn, Smith.
