Cobi Jones Linked - Ipswich Town News

Town are being linked to former Coventry City winger Cobi Jones, a player Town came close to signing way back in 1994. The US international played for the LA Galaxy last season where he ended the season as top scorer.

The 30-year-old joined Coventry after he impressed during the 1994 World Cup, but he was also in talks with Town during this period. Now he is reportedly returning to England with Town and Leicester claimed to be the clubs he is talking to.

Jones was hardly a great success when at Coventry and I think it would a great surprise should this story turn out to be true.

Today's Do You Remember? star is Laurie Sivell who celebrated his fiftieth birthday earlier this week (Happy Birthday Laurie!). What do you recall of the vertically challenged, yet brave, keeper? Click the link on the Message Board: http://www.twtd.co.uk/messages
