Macken a Doubt - Ipswich Town News

On-loan striker Jon Macken is a big doubt for Sunday's first home Sky match of the season against Luton Town. Macken injured his hamstring at Southend on Saturday and will undergo a scan on Tuesday.

Town's head of sports science Dave Williams told the club site: "We will have a look at the scan and will know more from there, but it's probably a small strain.

"At this stage, he has to be pretty doubtful for the weekend but we will see how he goes."

Williams says there is better news regarding Mark Noble, who also limped off at Roots Hall: "Mark had a slight discomfort in his groin, but it's settling down fine and he should be back in training later in the week."

Noble is unavailable for the Luton game as he is suspended after picking up his fifth booking of the season against Preston.

Lewis Price injured his hip at Southend in an early collision with Shrimpers' striker Matt Harrold, but the knock is not expected to keep the Wales international out of action.
