Haynes: I Enjoyed Spell - Ipswich Town News

Striker Danny Haynes was due back at Portman Road today after completing his successful one-month loan spell at Millwall. The frontman scored two goals in five games while at the Den, both of them in a 3-2 win at Rotherham.

Haynes said: "I would have liked to have stayed longer. I am disappointed not to be able to help Millwall out for another month.

"It has been a great experience for me being back in South London where I was brought up. It being my home town made things a lot easier. It was good while it lasted. I got to show what I can do. And now I hope I can get some games for Ipswich and show their fans, too.

"I have learned a lot - what I need to improve on and what I can build on."

Fellow Town loanee Liam Trotter made his first senior start in Haynes's final game for the Lions at Swansea on Sunday. Trotter, who had previously made only one sub appearance, is with the club currently caretaker-managed by Willie Donachie until January.
