Price Misses Three Games - Ipswich Town News

Keeper Lewis Price will miss at least the next three games after a scan revealed that his clash with Southend's Matt Harrold on Saturday had fractured a rib. The Wales international was replaced after seven minutes of Saturday's 3-1 win at Roots Hall.

Town's head of sports science Dave Williams told the club site: "Lewis has fractured a rib and although it's not too serious, it will mean he's out for a couple of weeks at least.

"He's had an ultrasound scan and the internal organs are fine, but he's got some bruising on his hip as well as the fracture.

"He will certainly be out for the next three games and it's a case of waiting until the pain eases down and he feels comfortable enough to dive on his injured side."

Price's absence will see Shane Supple regain his starting place when the Blues face Luton on Sunday with academy keeper Andy Plummer likely to get the call to sit on the bench. The 17-year-old was handed the number 38 shirt earlier in the season when he was in consideration for a substitute role when Supple was suffering from a a wrist injury.
