Clarke: I'm Staying - Ipswich Town News

Striker Billy Clarke says he has no plans to leave the Blues. Everton scout Lil Fucillo has been watching Clarke in action in recent matches, according to reports last weekend, with subsequent stories claiming that the Toffees are set to make a ÂŁ2 million bid.

Clarke said: "I'm not going anywhere, nor are any of the young lads that are here.

"It is flattering to have clubs like that interested but I have heard nothing and all I can do is keep playing my football and doing well for Ipswich."

Clarke, who is contractd to Town until 2009, could start for the Blues against Luton on Sunday with Jon Macken sidelined.

Meanwhile, Reading boss Steve Coppell is claimed to have confirmed that right-back John Halls is interesting the Blues. If this proves to be the case, the Royals manager is unlikely to allow Halls to go out on a loan spell until first choice right-back Graeme Murty recovers from a hamstring injury.
