Deal Not Signed - Ipswich Town News

Giffarna Sundsvall have told TWTD that as yet no deal has been signed between the two clubs. Urban Hagblom, a spokesperson for the Swedish side, said that the exchange deal is "in development" at present. Town had shown an interest in an exchange of players between the two clubs, but as yet no agreement has as yet been signed.

On the subject of Per Nilsson, the young Giffarna star linked with Town, Urban told us that no discussions had taken place. Urban suggested that the 19-year-old central defender would not be ready for the rigours of the Premiership as yet. Nilsson recently made his full debut for the Swedish national team in a game against Finland and looks and exciting prospect.

We're expecting a comment from Town later today.

Clearly it is Swedish week for Town fans with news now coming through that Neil Midgley has been watched by Swedish club Elfsborg. However, B-A Strömberg, the trainer who watched the Town striker, has not decided to approach Town to bring Midgely to Sweden.

Town's Scandinavian-based European Scout Simon Hunt is a former Elfsborg player and may be behind this interest. Town are keen to put players like Midgley out on loan to give them more competitive experience.
