Town chairman David Sheepshanks has returned from his trip to the US hailing his fact-finding visit a success. He looked at all the major American sports to look at trends within the US sport industry.
Sheepshanks said: "So many of the ideas in business that originate in America end up here. So we thought we’d go to the source and have a look first hand. We looked at stadium management, commercial organisation, ticket sales, sponsorship, pre-match entertainment and many other aspects including websites. We went to try and get a grasp of the latest thinking over there, and it was well worthwhile."
Alun Armstrong has had good news on his back injury sustained in training last Friday. The Town striker has been told by a specialist that the injury is nothing to do with the disc problems that have kept him out for so long in the past.
Armstrong had a back seizure on Friday, but the problem is not thought to be an overly serious one.
