Another Loanee In? - Ipswich Town News

Boss Jim Magilton says he could bring in two loan players in the next week. One of those is expected to be former Blue Tommy Miller, while the other new signing will be a defender.

Magilton, who watched Dundee United beat Rangers in the SPL on Sunday, says he and his coaching staff have been looking at potential new recruits: "We were all out and about checking on players and we are trying our very best to get someone in before Saturday's game.

"I hope we can do it because I have felt for some time that we could do with an extra body at the back, someone who might be able to play in more than one position. But, as always, it depends on who is available."

Magilton has reiterated his interest in Miller, who looks set to join the Blues on loan when Mark Noble goes back to West Ham next week.

The Town manager says the 27-year-old midfielder wasn't keen on a move until his wife had given birth to twins: "For that reason we haven't followed up our interest in taking him on loan but, again, we could do that fairly soon.”
