Giffarna Reports Out of All Proportion - Ipswich Town News

Further to yesterday's reports a Town spokesperson has told us that last week's stories suggesting a link between Town and Swedish club Giffarna Sundsvall blew any contact between the two clubs "out of all proportion".

The reports which eminated from Sweden were quoting the Giffarna President as welcoming the deal with Town enthusiatically. However, Town claim that any contact they have had with the Swedes has been no different than the contact they have had with a number of other clubs throughout Europe.

Town's Fitness Coash Simon Thadani visited Giffarna last week to look training and fitness techniques and injury rehabilitation and this could be where the stories started.

The Blues have spoken to many clubs to compare ideas on things like fitness and training including Heerenveen who have previously been linked as a club Town might want to link with. As with Giffarna no formal deal has been set-up with the Dutch club although there is continuing contact between coaches of both sides.
