Bruce in Ireland Action - Ipswich Town News
Defender Alex Bruce will be in action for the Republic of Ireland B side when they take on Scotland in Dublin this evening.
Bruce was one of three Town players initially called into the squad but Shane Supple (groin) and Billy Clarke (knee) were both forced to drop out.
Danny Haynes (hip) withdrew from the England U19 squad for their match with Switzerland, while Chris Casement was unable to join up with the Northern Ireland U21s having picked up an ankle injury in training.
Alan Lee is with the senior Ireland squad which takes on San Marino at Lansdowne Road on Wednesday evening. The striker will win his 10th cap if he plays and will hope to score his first international goal against one of European football's minnows.
