Currie Move Today? - Ipswich Town News
Winger Darren Currie is expected to complete his loan move to Coventry later today, according to reports in a number of newspapers this morning. The various papers take different views on whether Dele Adebola will move in the opposite direction as part of the deal.
Jim Magilton may not be keen on adding another loanee to his squad having already signed Mike Pollitt, Jon Macken, Simon Walton, Gary Roberts and Matthew Bates on those terms.
Elsewhere, Tommy Miller has confirmed that he was expecting to rejoin Town earlier this week until the proposed agreement between the Blues and Sunderland collapsed: "I thought I was all set to go to Ipswich but it fell through at the last minute. Jim called me and explained the situation so the deal didn't happen."
The midfielder, who turned down Colchester, Wolves and Southampton because he thought he was on his way back to Portman Road, subsequently joined Preston on loan until January. Miller, targeted by the Blues since May, could still make the move back to Town on a permanent basis when the transfer window opens in January.
Meanwhile, Dean Bowditch scored for Brighton's reserves in a 3-1 victory over Wycombe yesterday.
