Sunderland boss Roy Keane has launched a thinly veiled attack on Town manager Jim Magilton in the wake of the collapse of Tommy Miller's loan move. A disagreement between the pair is understood to have scuppered the deal.
Even Miller was expecting to return to Portman Road this week but joined Preston on loan until January instead after the Blues pulled out of the switch.
Keane refused to give names but slammed a rival manager: "One or two clubs spoke to Tommy but then pulled out at the last minute.
"So you learn a lot about different clubs and different managers and how they conduct themselves and some of it was disappointing.
"We've tried to be helpful but one or two of the other clubs have messed us around a little bit.
"The club said they were going to take the player but then simply backed out. I've learned quite a bit from that. It doesn't surprise me, I had a good idea the manager was that type anyway.
"You can't worry about other clubs. You've got to lead your club the right way.
"It might put me off doing business with them in the future, but I won't say who it was."
