Chairman in Dubai - Ipswich Town News
Town chairman David Sheepshanks is currently in Dubai at the annual Soccerex conference. Soccerex, which ran from Sunday until today, is described as "the world's largest business to business football convention".
Sheepshanks, wearing his Football League board member's hat, is reported to have publicly quizzed Arsenal's David Dein regarding the future of the UEFA Cup place awarded to the Carling Cup winners.
The Town chairman expressed concerns that the Premier League are keen to remove the place from the Football League's trophy and instead allot it based on league position.
Dein confirmed that he doesn't envisage this happening "in the foreseeable future".
