Town Draw Chester or Bury - Ipswich Town News
Town have drawn Bury or Chester City away in round three of the FA Cup. The tie will be played on the weekend of January 6th and 7th.
The Blues last played Chester in the fifth round of the FA Cup in 1980, winning the home game 2-1. John Wark and George Burley were in the goals for Town against a Chester side featuring Ian Rush.
Bury last came up against the Blues in the league in 1999, goals from Mark Venus (pen), loanee Marlon Harewood and Tony Mowbray giving the Blues a 3-0 win at Gigg Lane.
On Saturday, Chester and Bury drew 2-2 at Gigg Lane with the replay at the Deva Stadium next week.
