Hall of Fame for Forrest - Ipswich Town News
Former Blue Craig Forrest is to be inducted into the Canadian Soccer Hall of Fame next April. Forrest made 56 international appearances and his performances in goal were widely recognised as the biggest factor in Canada winning the CONCACAF Gold Cup in 2000.
The Vancouver-born keeper, who made 304 appearances for Town between 1985 and 1997, is now a broadcaster on Canada's Rogers Sportsnet.
Forrest is also the honorary chair of next year's FIFA World Youth Championships which are being held in Canada. In addition, the 6ft 5in stopper is the Canadian FIFA's ambassador for the non-governmental international development organisation SOS Children's Villages.
