Roberts Deal Close - Ipswich Town News
Town manager Jim Magilton says that Gary Roberts's permanent move to Portman Road from Accrington Stanley is close to being sealed. The winger has been on loan with the Blues since October.
Magilton told the club site: "We've been delighted with Gary. He's come in and added something extra to the squad and we certainly want to keep him.
"Hopefully, we should be going back to Accrington with everything in place very soon."
Town are likely to pay Stanley £200,000 for Roberts's permanent move on top of the £50,000 loan fee which secured the former Liverpool trainee between October and January.
Magilton has also confirmed that the Blues will look to make Darren Currie's loan at Coventry a permanent switch.
