Striker on Trial - Ipswich Town News
TWTD understands that Woodbridge Town striker Joe Francis spent time on trial at Portman Road last week. The 20-year-old was handed a start in Wednesday's behind-closed-doors reserve game at Watford, which the Blues won 1-0.
Francis has scored 17 times for the Woodpeckers this season, having joined them from Westerfield United in 2004.
The pacy frontman would command a fee as he is contracted to the side managed by Micky Stockwell until 2008.
Also in the Town line-up against the Hornets was Cork City midfielder George O'Callaghan, who is expected to sign for the Blues for a low five-figure fee when the transfer window reopens.
