Loan Players Back - Ipswich Town News

Town have confirmed that midfielder Martin Brittain's loan with Yeovil has come to an end despite the Glovers wanting to keep him for a third month. The Blues have also ended Ian Miller's spell at Boston, contrary to reports yesterday, and have ruled out Mark Noble returning.

Boss Jim Magilton told the club site: "Yeovil liked Martin but his loan is over now and we wanted him back in the building so we can have a look at him.

"We wanted him to get some first team football under his belt, so the loan would have done him the world of good.

"Ian Miller is returning from his stay at Boston, where all our reports say he has done very well. Again, it was all about gaining first team experience for Ian and it's possible that we may look at him going out on loan elsewhere."

Magilton told TWTD last month that a number of clubs have enquired about taking Miller on loan and the Blues could look at sending the former Bury Town man out again, this time at a level higher than League Two.

Magilton has also confirmed that Dean Bowditch has returned to Portman Road while his injury is assessed: "Dean is carrying a niggly groin problem at the moment and we will have a look at him over the next few days."

Darren Currie is due back at Portman Road tomorrow with the Blues and Coventry expected to thrash out a deal which will make the midfielder's move to the Ricoh Arena a permanent switch before the end of the transfer window. Town are understood to want a fee for the 32-year-old, whose contract is up in June.

Magilton has also confirmed that West Ham's Mark Noble will not return for a second loan spell: "Mark did very well when he was here and I made an enquiry about bringing him back once the transfer window had opened when Alan Pardew was in charge.

"It was a no then and I had the same response when we spoke to Alan Curbishley. West Ham want Mark there and I can totally understand that, so he won't be coming back here."
